The artist that I chose for this assignment is Matthew Barney. I have watched his Cremaster cycle videos. He makes videos that of different narratives that would make you think what they hell am i watching. It has this sense of a dream and he builds his narratives off of an environment. So he would find geographical environments first than create the narrative. What makes it better that he does not have the movies going in order so it throws the person watching the video off and confuses them. The way she shoots the films like it changes back and forth between different narratives without having showing a type of story, but he changes scenes by showing a common shape in picture inside each shot so it is not just a common scene change.

But the oddness in the videos just makes you want to watch more of his videos. When you see something weird you do not want to look away or take your eye off of it and that is what matthew barney does. He also puts a lesson or idea behind every video that he has, so he makes you sit and think about what he is doing and what it means tot the person or what he is trying to show you. So he has this weird way at looking at things and putting them in a metaphorical way.
